Wiltshire Weekend

We have dear friends who have a weekend house on the border of Dorset and Wiltshire, about 2 hours outside of London, and we've been lucky to go there over the years. The last time we were there, they introduced us to the Beckford Arms, which is a traditional pub, that also has rooms to stay in (that will also work for families--it's broken down nicely on their site.) The food is locally sourced as much as possible, the rooms are lovely, and it's across the road from Fonthill Bishop, an estate that has some of the prettiest walks I've even been on. On your way there, you drive right past Stonehenge, so it's a nice way to check that off the list.
