Normandy Week: Beuvron-en-Auge

On Easter morning, we made our way to this village in Normandy, which is so charming, it's officially one of the "prettiest villages in France".  It's in the Calvados region, and is a town that has several great restaurants (we chose the Auberge de la Boule d'Or, above), little antique shops, and is perfectly situated in the countryside. This area is also known for it's cheeses--Livarot, Pont L'Eveque--these are towns that are all within 30 minutes from here.

  1. Alsace has really pretty villages like that. Very clean, possibly because it's so near Germany...
