I just found this lovely property, The Mast Farm Inn, in North Carolina, in the area called Valle Crucis, the first rural historic district in the state. The cabins look like they're tastefully done, the surroundings are beautiful, and they have an organic garden, which supplies their restaurant. I'm going to try to find as many of these kind of hotels as I can, and put them up here, because they have most of what I want in a property (thoughtful owners and access to good quality food).
