Dreamy Norwegian Cabin

I've had this property printed out for three years now, and somebody out there has to rent it! It's so amazing. Sleeps four and is less than $100 a night.

A Site to Bookmark

I just pulled out the "Europe Rentals" folder, and am starting in on finding a rental for this summer, as we're going away with our dear friends and their kids. How I forgot about Via Travel Design is beyond me--they are an amazing resource. When I was at Cookie, I actually interviewed one of the owners, James, as I thought they would be good experts for us to tap. He and his wife have been traveling to Italy for over 30 years, and hand-pick the properties they represent. They know the owners personally, and actually inspect the properties regularly. Check it out.

And Philly's Cool Too

If this last week hasn't convinced you yet that you should make a booking to go to Philadelphia while it's the worst winter in history (well, my history anyway), then maybe this very cool Cafe Lift and its neighbor the very cool store Morihata will push you to do it. Old City Philadelphia

I don't think we've been in a cuter ice cream parlor ever. And the ice cream was so creamy and delicious. This place has been around since 1904, and is a must-stop if you come to Philadelphia. For the lowdown on a perfect weekend in Philly, click here.

Within walking distance to the Franklin Fountain is the Betsy Ross Museum.

Top 10 Best Food Court

I'd come to Philly just for this place. Make sure you bring a cooler, so you can bring back some of the raw milk and local yogurts. And bring a sturdy bag to pack in the Amish popcorn, pretzel breads from Metropolitan Bakery, Italian cookies from Termini...
